The Beret has been a significant feature in more than one of my books including my first, Mark Rollins New Career and the newest, Beyond Visual Range. That is me in the photo. It was taken at a sidewalk café in the 5th arrondissement of Paris near the Pantheon. The memory of my French Beret stayed with me and found its way into my novels.
